Village Profiling System Application Launch

The Village Profiling System Application, an initiative from the Ministry of Rural Development was launched by the Chief Minister of Sabah, YAB Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Shafie bin Haji Apdal during the launch of the Sabah District Officers 24th Conference, held on the 24th – 25th February 2020 at The Pacific Sutera Hotel, Kota Kinabalu.

This system application designed by Sabah Net serves as a database to facilitate Sabah's socio-economic development planning especially in rural areas.

Simultaneously, Minister of Rural Development, YB. Datuk Ewon Benedick launched the “Strategic Development Plans 2021-2025” to assist and educate the villagers to overcome poverty and improve their livelihood through entrepreneurship in order to be aligned with the 12th Malaysia Plan.

VIP’s in attendance at the launching were Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Trade & Industry YB. Datuk Seri Panglima Wilfred Madius Tangau, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture & Environment YB. Datuk Christina Liew, Deputy Chief Minister & Minister of Local Government and Housing YB. Datuk Dr. Haji Jaujan Bin Sambakong.

Also in attendance were Sabah State Secretary Datuk Safar Untong and YB. Datuk Liew Vui Keong, Minister in the Prime Ministers Department / Minister of Law & Parliament Affairs.
